I will tell you up front that this isn’t a “deal” of any sort. It’s not even a little bit discounted. It IS, however, a classic designer handbag. And I really like this design.

This diamante pattern was created in the 1930s before the famous “GG” logo was designed. It was used on canvas throughout the 40s and 50s when there were leather shortages due to the war. For the last 50 years, this diamond pattern was kind of forgotten about- until recently, when Gucci’s Creative Director, Frida Giannini uncovered the design in the Gucci archives. Now it is back, and is being used in a limited collection of handbags, shoes, and small accessories. Some fun facts, right?

I love the diamante pattern because it is a slightly different design than the other Gucci handbags out there. I like to wear pieces that are different from what everyone else has. At the same time, I appreciate good quality pieces. The diamante patterned handbags are a perfect balance between the two! They are meticulously crafted just like every other Gucci piece, and will last you a lifetime if you handle them with care. The Longchamp Le Pliage tote is as classic as a Burberry trench coat. These bags are a great investment in my opinion, and as far as designer bags go, they are definitely on the lower end of the price spectrum. The Le Pliage will hold everything you need, whether you are a student using it to carry books or a mom using it as a diaper bag! I have one that I have used for two years and it still looks new.
