I used to have a coat like this when I was little – pleats at the empire waist, cute buttons on top, etc… for some reason, I absolutely hated it! I love this checked wool coat from See by Chloe’. I usually gravitate toward fitted clothing, especially coats, but lately I’ve been into more loose, laid-back clothing like this coat. Oh. My gosh. This coat is Givenchy at its finest. I only wish I was Audrey Hepburn back in the 60s so that I could wear Givenchy everything for free! Man, she had it made.

This Alessandro Dell’ Acqua is totally vintage. It’s not fitted everywhere like most wool coats these days, but I think that’s part of the reason I like it. It’s different. And it’s got a really classic look to it, too.
