We’ve posted Hunter rain boots before, but I was inspired by today’s incredibly gloomy, rainy, looks-like-it’s-night-time weather to post them again. Yes, they are just that great!

When I was living in New York, these boots were a total lifesaver — make that a shoesaver! Before I got these, the worst day I could imagine was a rainy day in the city, because I was sure to ruin another pair of shoes on my way to work. When I finally purchased these, I realized how dumb I had been by not buying these sooner! I almost started to like rainy days with these on my feet – that’s pretty crazy considering how much I despised the rain before I had these. Now if these would just come with some magic hair product that makes your hair UN-frizz on a rainy day, we would have a miracle product on our hands!

So here we have the original Hunter rain boot in a variety of colors. You biggest problem will be deciding which color is the best. I’m pretty sure you can’t go wrong with any of these options. To make your decision easier, you might want to go back to the tried and true decision making process…. that is, of course, eenie-meenie-miney-mo. These rain boots will run you $115. Check out this masterpiece of a shoe! I’m crazy for these Christian Louboutins (and every single shoe that goes by that name), and for good reason! There’s the perfectly high stiletto heel, pointed toe that looks like it could hurt someone, a great faux snake print leather, and of course, that beautiful signature red sole. Ahhh. It’s like wearing some da Vinci work of art on your feet. Just wait, in 50 years there is SO going to be a Louboutin museum. I’m all about anything in fashion that has a simple foundation with a cool detail or two to top it off. These are just that. Simple black high heel boot with a twist. Literally. The zipper wraps all around boot at an angle – two full times! Stylebop.com calls the style “elegant punk”… at first I wasn’t so sure about that description but it’s starting to make more sense the more I look at these! I like that these are mid-height too – taller than a short boot, but not quite as tall as a tall boot.
